Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan of December 30, 1996 N 3299
Considering numerous addresses of citizens, public associations and the Republic organizations, for strengthening of a national consent, political stability I decide:
1 To declare 1997 for Year of a national consent and memory of political repressions victims.
2 To take measures for a construction new and to reduction in an appropriate condition of existing monuments to victims of political repressions, places of their mass burials;
3 To national Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan to consider a question of release of the coins devoted to Year of a national consent and memory of victims of political repressions.
4 The present Decree comes into force from the moment of publication.
